Imagine Math
Impact
With over 1.5 million users and growing, Imagine Math continues to inspire student achievement every day. In the State of Texas, a two-year independent study by the Gibson Reporting group that involved more than 800,000 students from every possible part of the State – urban, suburban, rural – showed the efficacy of the State’s investment in Imagine Math with students in grades 3 to 8. Students using the program with fidelity – attempting 20 or more lessons – made statistically significant gains on the STAAR, the Texas state test. It’s also important to know that these results led to the State’s reinvestment in the program and its expansion to include Algebra 1 and Geometry.

Imagine Math is an amazing program that has done wonderful things for our kids! Our students not only use it here at school, but many of them go home and get on Imagine Math because they love it so much. It has helped our lower kiddos to grow from their level and close the gaps, little by little. You can see on their faces the confidence they have gained by being able to understand math a little better. There is nothing better than one of your kids coming to you after a weekend, knowing they had done Imagine Math, and having them say, “I get it now!” It is such a wonderful program and we at ECMS love it! Keep up the amazing work!

Program Overview
Imagine Math is a research-based, adaptive, online supplemental math solution suite for students in Pre-K through Geometry. Rooted in the principles of cognitively guided instruction, Imagine Math was created to foster confident mathematicians who are curious learners and skilled communicators. Through age-appropriate learning environments and a system of adaptive and standards-aligned benchmark and formative assessments, Imagine Math students always encounter the “just right” amount of challenge to keep them in their personal zone of proximal development with a focus on scaffolding up to grade-level proficiency. Imagine Math delivers online mathematical instruction, integrating real-word and STEM related concepts across the program, while also adhering to state and national standards. The program also provides offline resources, such as performance tasks and STEM activity suggestions. Teachers may use these resources in their classrooms to gauge a student’s understanding of mathematical concepts and skills, building student confidence. STEM contexts engage students in meaningful problem solving and lead learners to use mathematical skills and practices in routine and non-routine situations. These activities engage students in meaningful problem solving and offer opportunities to explore related STEM concepts in greater depth.
